Rabbi Kalman Winnick moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in September of 2009 to become the spiritual leader of Congregation Agudath Achim. He also volunteers as chaplain for the Little Rock Police Department and local hospitals and nursing homes.

A warm and gifted teacher and counselor, Rabbi Winnick is an ordained rabbi, a National Board Certified Chaplain and holds a Masters Degree in Non-profit Management. Originally from Los Angeles, he received his Orthodox rabbinical certification from the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and the Head of the Rabbinical Courts in Jerusalem. He has an M.A. in Jewish studies as well as Conservative rabbinical ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York and a B.A. in Business Economics from U.C.S.B.

While Rabbi Winnick arrived in Little Rock a single man, he was blessed in 2014 to marry Shoshana. She is not only a personal partner and mate for the rabbi, but brings her own warmth and expertise to the community with credentials in nursing, midwifery, counseling and homeopathy.

Rabbi Winnick loves and cares about the world. In addition to more than a decade serving hospitals and hospices in Los Angeles, he has traveled, taught and provided pastoral care in over 40 countries including Australia, Guam and Stockholm, Sweden where he served as Associate Chief Rabbi for three years. These diverse and rich experiences contribute to his ability to lovingly and meaningfully engage people of all ages and faiths in a variety of settings. He looks forward to getting to know you.
